Adium To Support Twitter
Adium developer Zac West talked about the progress of adding Twitter his popular chat client for Mac-Adium.
Many Twitter users now have an abundance of applications installed on their desktop and mobile devices to Tweet with. In my opinion I am overwhelmed by all of these options. When Twitter is fully incorporated into Adium that will be one less window open on my already cluttered workspace.
Heres how it will work:
You can follow and unfollow Twitter feeds by adding and removing them from your contact list.
When you IM a Twitter contact it will send them a direct message.
Your Twitter feed is displayed in a group chat that you can open and close at any given time.
Replies are also made very easy.
If you are familiar with Adium and are an avid Twitter user then you will be as excited as I am when I see the next update!
