AppStore Re-Opens With New iPod Shuffle

This little guys are 4GB and priced at $79.00 USD. They feature a new UI which is pretty interesting. The new UI is a VoiceOver Interface that will announce artists, songs, and playlists at the touch of a button. The shuffle also supports multiple playlists (now that there is a stronger UI)

The new device is 1.8” high, 0.7” wide and 0.3” deep (45mm x 17mm x 7.8mm) Also the controls have been moved from the body to the headphone chord. Users who prefer to use other earbud’s or headphones might not like this idea. The new shuffle is available in white and grey and will be shipping in 3-5 days.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post before I am going to merge them into one. Both of us wrote about it at the same time!

The Apple Store is down today, and rumors had it that they were releasing a  new iPod shuffle. Well, the rumors were true and Apple has released a new iPod shuffle which features a VoiceOver interface thats announces artists, songs and playlists. The new shuffle also supports multiple playlists!

It’s now 4 GB for the same $79 price tag(US). The size however has been reduced to 1.8” high, 0.7’ wide and 0.3’ deep. The controls have been moved to the headphones, so you may be limited to what headphones you can use.
