Tweetie 1.3
So the Tweetie update was sent to Apple today! Sadly, it was rejected:
Apparently, whoever reviewed Tweetie 1.3 didn’t understand this feature (or perhaps even what Twitter is) and rejected Brichter’s update after seeing a vulgar term in its Trends section. Apple’s busy little bee was at least kind enough to provide a screenshot for “proof,” but this particular rejection highlights yet another kink in the App Store armor. Tweetie, like all of its competitors, has no control over what Twitter’s users are talking about.
After some reasoning, the new update was then given the green and will be up for download soon!

- Post pictures with Mobypicture and yfrog (in addition to TwitPic)
- New “Link” button to Add to Instapaper faster, and repost individual links
- View full-size profile images
- Dark theme
- Ping.fm integration
- Tweetshrink integration
- Twitlonger integration

- Russian localization
- Allow DMs up to 255 characters
- Many UI tweaks
- Play back Song.ly links
- Option to use “RT” syntax
- Better feedback for posting a Map link
- Improved international date formatting
- Detect invalid profile images
- Fixed account sorting
- Fixed profile image URL decoding
- Fixed links with # anchors
- Fixed “(null)” problem when using bookmarklet
- Fixed problem with @ character in password field
