Hackers Crack Apple’s iTunes Gift Card Algorithm

$200 iTunes Gift Cards are being sold for less than $3  in China. A group of hackers have figured out the algorithm used to make the gift cards and has started making their own. The details are kind of sketchy. You must contact a seller through Taobao IM and talk to them for a little. Then you purchase the code with the payment system Alipay, which supports most Chinese banks, and then the user on the other end will send you the code through Taobao IM. Then you can redeem the code in iTunes.

“We make more money as the amount of customer is growing rapidly,” stated the owner of the Taobao shop. He also stated that he paid the hackers an unknown sum for their gift card generators.
